At Rachmiah, we take pride in delivering high-quality, thoughtfully made garments. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order, as it outlines your rights and our obligations under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW


Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item:

Has a major fault

Is not as described

Is unsafe

Is significantly different from what was agreed

2. CHANGE OF MIND


We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, including but not limited to:

Choosing the wrong size

Deciding you no longer want the item

Ordering for an event that has passed

Delays caused by courier services

3. CUSTOM / MADE-TO-MEASURE ORDERS (IMPORTANT)


All custom, bespoke, or made-to-measure items are final sale.

This includes garments made:

To customer-provided measurements

To a specific design request

Using selected fabrics or prints


No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be provided for:

Incorrect measurements supplied by the customer

Fit preferences (too tight, too loose, length preference, etc.)

Minor variations inherent to handmade garments

4. READY-TO-WEAR ITEMS


We may offer store credit or exchange for ready-to-wear items at our discretion, provided that:

The item is unworn, unwashed, and unused

Tags remain attached

The request is made within 7 days of delivery

The item is returned in original condition


Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.

5. FAULTY OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS


If you believe your item is faulty, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order at:

Please include:

Your order number

Clear photos or videos of the issue

A brief description of the fault


If the item is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect, we will offer an appropriate remedy in line with ACL, which may include:

Repair

Replacement

Refund (where applicable)

6. WHAT IS NOT CONSIDERED A FAULT


The following are not considered faults:

Slight colour differences due to screen displays

Pattern placement differences

Natural variations in African or handmade fabrics

Minor stitching or finishing variations that do not affect wearability

Fit issues resulting from customer-supplied measurements

7. SHIPPING & DELIVERY ISSUES


We are not responsible for:

Delays caused by couriers

Customs clearance delays

Incorrect addresses provided by the customer


Once an order is handed to the carrier, risk passes to the customer.

8. REFUND PROCESSING


Approved refunds (where applicable) will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your financial institution.
